The unscrambled name Wordune is a clever coinage that combines the words “WordPress” and “dune.” The word evokes a sense of vastness and possibility, suggesting the limitless potential of WordPress as a platform for creating and sharing ideas.
The literal meaning of Wordune as “billions of things related to WordPress” accurately reflects the breadth and scope of the WordPress ecosystem. From plugins and themes to websites and blogs, WordPress powers a vast and ever-growing universe of digital content.
We launched Wordune in 2021 after rebranding from Codelab, founded in 2017.
